Kato Zakros is located in a beautiful bay on the eastern coast of Crete. It’s quite a drive from the major airports, so Kato Zakros only sees a limited number of visitors, mainly from Greece, Italy and France.
It’s a relaxing place to spend a couple of day. The food is good, the water clear and you are far away from the packages tourists of the northern coast of crete.

Terracina is located a short drive (or train ride) from Rome. It’s the Romans favourite getaway when it comes to prestine beaches and fresh sea food. We have rented appartments at a competitive price from Casa Al Mare for a couple of years. They seem to have been around for a while (30 years of experience). Well, anyway, so far they have found exactly the right acommodation at the right price every time. They even have some usefull information about Terracina (in swedish). Enjoy!

It’s probably not the most popular ski resort in Italy, but that is a good thing: at the time I visited there were hardly any queues at the lifts. The skiing is excellent, though. At 2050 meter above sea level, the chance of getting good snow is high; I haven’t seen the amount of snow I had in Cervinia last year since I was a kid, many years ago. I amost forgot to mention that if you get tired of skiing at the slopes in Cervinia, the world famous ski town of Zermatt is in the same ski system.

For some well prepared pists and some italian food, head for Livigno. In Livigno you can also make some really good deals on ski equipment since there is no sales tax. I bought a pair of ski boots for half price.

If you are looking for that perfect get-away island in Greece I can highly recommend Koufonissia. We went there two years ago and we had the most relaxing stay.
This photo is from our balcony at Koufonissia. We stayed with the old woman running the shop in front of the beach you’ll see to the right when you arrive with the ferry. She isn’t working too hard getting customers, so you probably have a good chance on getting a room. It was cheap to, € 15 for a double with balcony and bath room.
Have a happy stay!

Amorgos is a really beautiful island. I went there last year and I had a great time. I rented a scooter and went discovering.
One pretty beach is Mouron, but you need your own wheels to get there. The restaurant above the beach cooks up a delicious lamb stew. Wash it down with there cheap and excellent house wine.
